Well, it looks like I got a little busy at the end of 2011 and my blog suffered :(
So here it is, my recap of November and December! Enjoy!
Halloween was our last update, so lets fast forward to November. Thanksgiving was great, the Wednesday before I stayed home from work and worked my behind like crazy cleaning and cooking in preparation of dinner with the Barker clan. We had a nice evening full of good food and good company. On Thursday(Thanksgiving day) we trooped over to my parents house for another day of good food and good times with family. The boys went to Uncle Jeff and Auntie Shell's house for the night so James and I, along with my mom and sister, could get up and hit all the sales early on Friday morning!! They had a good time hanging out with aunt and uncle and we got a lot of our Christmas shopping done!
December was a busy month between celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary, Jesse's 2nd birthday AND Christmas!!! My parents watched the boys so that James and I could have a night out for our anniversary. We had dinner at Anthony's Homeport in downtown Olympia and then headed to a movie. Dinner wasn't as good as it could have been, but we both enjoyed the movie and got home early enough so we weren't too tired for work the next day :)
Jesse's birthday party was a success and he got lots of new Mickey Mouse toys and clothes, he was in Mickey Mouse heaven! LOL
Christmas was also a success all the way around. We did our usual and stayed the night at my parents house on Christmas eve. My lovely sisters were up at 6am and got the whole household rolling bright and early :) After everyone opened up their presents, it was time for breakfast...homemade biscuits and gravy and french toast for those of us that don't do gravy! After breakfast it was time for us to get ready to head over to Heather and Stephen's house for the Barker Christmas. We got over there around noon, had lunch, opened presents and then just sat around visiting for a few hours. At 4, we headed back over to my parents house for dinner...prime rib, turkey, ham and ALL the fixings! YUM!!
