Camping in Sequim

Friday, August 19th was my brother Adam's birthday.  When we asked him what he wanted this year, he said he just wanted to go camping.  So we packed up all the kiddos and the supplies and headed to a campground in Sequim.  Normally, James and I borrow my aunt and uncle's tent trailer when we go camping, but we get tired of always asking people to loan us their stuff so this year we decided to "rough it" and took a tent.  Those of you who know me well, know that I am the type of camper who prefers a comfy bed, clean sheets, a private bathroom and carpet under my feet (aka...a hotel room!) so I CANNOT tell you what I was thinking when we gave up the trailer for a TENT...but I survived.  However,  next time we go camping, you can bet I will be calling them to borrow the trailer! We all had a really good time, The campground was Disney themed for the weekend so they had lots of fun activities for the kiddos.  All the kids made Mickey Mouse ears, Reanna entered a coloring contest, Jesse and Reanna got their faces painted and went on a hayride and we all enjoyed ourselves at the ice cream social.  The guys took some time to visit Hurricane Ridge, while the girls took off to go and see the lavender fields!  Before we left, the "kids"(James, Adam, Chris, Hanna, Connor, Reanna and Cameron) all rented 4-wheel bikes and rode like crazy all over the campground.  Overall I would say we all had a great trip and we will probably repeat the experience(minus the tent and the bugs...ew!) again some day :)  Happy Birthday Bro! Hope you enjoyed your birthday camping trip!!
